Art Association of Rutherford

This is an non-profit organization of visual artists and those interested in art. Members work in a variety of media including oil, watercolor, photography, graphic design, sculpture, and mixed media.

Center for Hope & Safety

Center for Hope & Safety is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit agency in Rochelle Park, New Jersey, founded in 1976. We strongly believe that every person has the right to be safe, empowered, and free from violence and fear. Our mission is to help domestic violence victims in Bergen County, New Jersey, heal and grow through a wide range of services. We give adult and child victims hope and safety, and the tools they need to rebuild their lives beyond domestic violence.

Community Chest of Rutherford

The Community Chest of Rutherford is 75 years old. Help us support the 10 organizations we support from your contributions. Remember, ALL MONEY RAISED STAYS IN RUTHERFORD TO SUPPORT RUTHERFORD ORGANIZATIONS. Our volunteers are your neighbors who are dedicated to help your neighbors. The Chest is a 501(3)(c) charity registered in NJ.

Friends of the Library of Rutherford

To provide equal access to information, resources, entertainment, support, and space to members of the Rutherford community. The Friends help fund our popular children’s events, including Summer Reading Club, our museum pass program, and our monthly film screenings. To donate to the Friends online, please click here.

Healing Hearts of Rutherford

Our mission is to facilitate their healing process, which can take an enormous amount of time, money, and mental anguish. ​ The goal of the Healing Hearts of Rutherford is to reach out to victims and their families that might otherwise go unnoticed or not ask for assistance.

KIP Senior Center

The ingenuity to continue to be a community focal point where older adults will find crucial resources, programs and services that will meet their ever-changing needs; and the sustained ability to be agile and swift, during moments of change so that we continue our history of excellence in supporting seniors’ independence.

Lions Club of Rutherford

The Rutherford Club was chartered by Lions Clubs International in March 1922 so the Club is now in it's second century. The Rutherford Lions Club helps many local organizations and numerous State and District Sight Projects.

Meadowlands Museum

In 1960, a group of Rutherford PTA parents sat at a table, after viewing their children’s social studies/science fair projects. They thought it would be nice for their children to have some “real” objects to look at to aid in their studies. They sent out a letter to every Rutherford parent to ask if people would be willing to donate items of educational value to this new venture. ​ Today the Museum works to link students of New Jersey Meadowlands history, young and old, to objects that can help them connect to and understand the history the Meadowlands area communities of today.

Mission: Kids Success

Relay for Life

The Relay For Life movement is dedicated to helping communities attack cancer. Through funds donated, time given, or awareness raised, our communities are teaming up - virtually or in person - to make a difference. When we rally together in the fight against cancer, we can accomplish anything.

Rutherford Arts Council

The Rutherford Arts Council, a 501c3 non-profit organization, was founded in 2019. Our overall goal is to drive increased funding towards arts programs in Rutherford, New Jersey.

Rutherford Education Foundation

The mission of the Rutherford Education Foundation is to enrich the academic, athletic and extracurricular experiences of students in the Borough of Rutherford. The Foundation seeks to develop a reliable source of privately raised funds that will enable it to sponsor programs in cooperation with the schools, the recreation department and the community at large.

Rutherford First Aid Ambulance Corps.

We are a volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to providing Emergency Medical Services to our residents of the Borough of Rutherford, NJ. Our riding members are Emergency Medical Technicians licensed by the New Jersey Department of Health - Office of Emergency Medical Services (OEMS), trained to provide immediate pre-hospital care to the critically ill and injured and transport to a local hospital.

Rutherford Girls Softball

Rutherford Little League Girls Softball operates as an all-volunteer program. Financial sponsorship support from local businesses, corporations and community sponsors, is a key component of being able to continue the tradition of providing a high-quality Girls Softball program for Rutherford. We strive to build character, loyalty and good sportsmanship in our Softball Players, ages 4-14.

Rutherford Historic Preservation Society

The Rutherford Historic Preservation Society is an independent non-profit organization that identifies and promotes the preservation of historic properties that exhibit well maintained classic architecture or that possess a heritage of a notable architect, builder or resident.

Rutherford Lacrosse Association

The Rutherford Lacrosse Association was created in 2014 by two fathers who were looking to introduce the town of Rutherford, New Jersey to the "fastest sport on two feet." Seeing a need for an alternative to the traditional offerings, these men realized that baseball, basketball, and football should not be the only options for their children. One day, after many conversations about their shared history, experience, and love of the game, they decided something needed to be done... and with no business knowledge but a dream and a shared vision, the RLA was formed! We sincerely hope the people of Rutherford enjoy the sport as much as we do and help build the foundation of Lacrosse in Rutherford for years to come.

Rutherford Little League

Rutherford Little League at Tom Mellody Field is a non-profit charitable organization whose mission is to provide a safe, instructional and fun environment for the children of Rutherford, NJ, ages 4-12. Chartered under the umbrella of Little League International, Inc, and Little League District 5 of NJ, we share a mission to "to promote, develop, supervise, and voluntarily assist in all lawful ways, the interest of those who will participate in Little League Baseball and Softball." Since 1951, Rutherford Little League has been an anchor in the community. We hold strong to our core principles - promoting the ideals of fair play and sportsmanship to borough youngsters eager to learn the game Our non-profit organization operates as an all-volunteer program, and as such, we rely on the support of our network of families, local businesses, corporate and community sponsors. Through this outpouring of support, Rutherford Little League continues this tradition and mission so that more than 250 kids, ages 4-12, in 4 different divisions of baseball and programs can play every season.

Rutherford Pride Alliance

Promoting & fostering LGBTQ+ inclusivity, visibility and advocacy in Rutherford, NJ & Southern Bergen County. Rutherford Pride Alliance is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization created in 2018 by local citizens seeking to create visibility & community for the LGBTQ+ residents & allies within Rutherford. We fulfill Our Mission through social events, education & philanthropic partnerships locally & beyond.

Rutherford Public Library Foundation

The Rutherford Public Library Foundation is a non-profit 501c3 corporation lead by a Board of Directors with close ties to the Rutherford Public Library Board of Trustees. The Foundation and its Board operate independently from the Borough of Rutherford municipal governance. The Foundation exists solely to enhance and expand services provided by the library. Financial support from the Borough of Rutherford, the State of New Jersey, and other sources will continue and not be diminished by the existence of gifts generated by the Foundation. The mission of the Rutherford Public Library Foundation is to develop a basis of continual financial support to ensure the library’s commitment to provide lifelong learning services to the community.

Rutherford Swim Association

The Rutherford Stingrays is an entry level recreational swim team! We are welcoming to swimmers of all skills that are seeking to learn in a fun and competitive environment. Practices will run from June 26th - July 27th! Practices will be weekdays (Monday-Thursday) for one hour per day.

The Woman's Club of Rutherford

The Woman's Club of Rutherford (WCR) is a non-profit volunteer organization, working toward helping the Community - your fellow man - all done with a spirit of friendship. We are comprised of women ages 18 and older.
